Greetings Tribe!
This is the 7th newsletter of James on Success!
My current focus is working on a list of success principles that I use to build James on Success. I have about 78 principles that I plan to turn into my first digital product. In the meantime, I will wrestle with each principle in this newsletter.
The power of principles help anyone, no matter what level they are at or what they are doing.
Now, for this week's principle.
Success Has Many Levels
There are many levels of success, not just the top.
The first level of success is simply making a decision start. Just by making this decision you have leaped beyond millions of people that think and dream about how life could be, but never make that crucial decision to start.
It is our personal growth that enables us to take on bigger challenges and rise to a new level. Each level of success requires a new level of mastery and maturity.
Each level might be different, but success principles apply to all levels.
Conquer Success at Your Current Level
Before thinking about where you want to be, think about where you are. Are there things you can do now, that you aren't doing? If you neglect important principles now, they might cause big issues in the future.
Identify what you know you should be practicing, but aren't.
Conquer success at your current level. Then move to the next.
Acknowledge and Appreciate Your Success
Acknowledge and appreciate your success at each level. If you don't acknowledge and appreciate your current level of success, you will never appreciate the next level of success.
Acknowledge the people that support you and helped you. I am grateful for the authors that wrote books that educate and inspire me. I was making very little progress on my own.
Always Seek the Next Level
While mastering our current level of success, always keep an eye on identifying the mindset, principles and practices that can take us to the next level.
Identifying the next level is a byproduct of all the success principles we apply, such as Invest in Yourself, Do/Learn/Refine, Connections, Think Deeper, and more.
Be Grateful for the Opportunity
Some people never make it to the starting line. That is a sad reality. Be grateful for the chance to try.
We have the privilege and opportunity to choose to pursue a greater life, that is profound. I am grateful for the freedom to choose. That freedom is sacred.
Take up the call to pursue a greater life and keep in mind those that never got a chance.
Let's persevere when others complain about how hard the journey is.
Let's stay grounded and grateful.
Summary
Success has many levels.
Success is not some achievement years from now.
Conquer success at your current level.
Acknowledge and appreciate your success today.
Be grateful for the opportunity to even try, each day.
Building a dream is challenging. Each day we should acknowledge that we are blessed to even choose to pursue our dreams.
Take 5
Take 5 minutes right now and:
1. Acknowledge and celebrate the fact you have started.
2. Document your current success level (what do you know today).
3. Think about what you want to add in order to reach the next level.
Finally
I publish this newsletter once a week, every Monday. As I continue to write these newsletters I will learn more and adjust (that's a principle).
Feedback is crucial (that's a principle). Got feedback on this topic? I would like to know what you are struggling with, what you're interested in, or what you want to accomplish.
My definition of success. If this resonates with you, then I'm confident we can grow together.
"I believe the best definition of success is living a life of integrity while pursuing your dreams in a way that serves others."
To your success!
James Wilder

Quote of the Week
"Your story is not about the natural talent given to you. It is about the choices you made and the power you seized to become the person you aspire to be." —James Wilder
Link of the Week
"Everybody I know who does interesting, creative work, they went through years where they had really good taste and they could tell that what they were making wasn't as good as they wanted it to be. They knew it fell short. Everybody goes through that." —Ira Glass
