Imagine it's Amazing
Life can be hard.
We remember pain, more than success.
We can easily recall all the things that have gone wrong. And imagine all kinds of things that could go wrong.
Believe me, I could paint vivid pictures of why I'll never make it. With each brooding stroke of the brush, I can paint the scene. A dark room, a dim light by a chair, a dreamer sitting all alone, with all the books written, that nobody wants to read.
Yes, I can imagine. With much drama!
I can imagine all kinds of things.

This is a scary fact. What we imagine actually creates chemical reactions in our brain that trigger emotions. And our emotions contribute to the decisions and choices we make. We may choose to give up. We might reign in that hope that got a little too high. We might be tempted to think smaller, because what we envision seems a little too big. We might be afraid to look too long and see ourselves as a miracle of power, purpose, and destiny that can change the world with a smile.
But this is an amazing fact. If our thoughts can take us down, they can also build us up.

Why not imagine all kinds of things that could go right.
After all, we are imagining.
The truth is, we are the director of our imagination.
We are.

Therefore, if I'm going to use my imagination, then I'm going to imagine things going right, in a big way. So get thee behind me Satan. I have a destiny of greatness waiting for me to grab hold of and walk in, with absolute belief that it is mine.
Then, I'm going to get my focus back to the present. Let the negative stuff go, and move forward.
If you get stuck with imagining the worst, maybe replace the director in your mind with one that produces a blockbuster.
Imagine it's amazing.
Because we are freaking miracles of purpose, destiny, and power.
