Living your dreams sounds like fun, right? It is! You are the leader when you live your dreams. Without your leadership your dream will just wait. As a leader, you choose the actions to take. You choose what to create. You choose how fast you go. You choose what you need to know. It will take time to develop self-leadership skills.
You are 100% in control. You don't have to wait for anyone. You don’t have to get permission. Set your direction to the destination you desire. Your desire is the secret of lasting motivation.
No one can tell you NO, because you say YES. You are the leader. If you say it, it is so. You take the wins, as well as the losses. There is nothing that can stop you, because you say yes.
Whenever days are tough, you’re the leader. Whenever the days are long, you're the leader. When some things just have to get done, you're the leader. Whenever you say to yourself, “This is so difficult. How can I do this?” Remember, you’re right at the point where most people quit. Memorize this: Success begins, where easy ends.
It’s good to seek ideas and advice, but ultimately, we make the decisions. Sometimes the ideas, experience, and advice from others will not work for us. Maybe it worked for them, but that doesn’t mean it will work for your dream. Leadership is about making discerning choices that align with who you are. Who you are is a combination of your values, talents, experiences, and desires. When you are clear on who you are, your decisions become clear. Be true to yourself and the results will be truly yours.
