Success is a long road
It is easy to give up on a dream when results do not materialize in a reasonable amount of time. After all, a dream rarely conforms to a reasonable timetable.
It's easy to give up on a dream because it’s not a necessity. A dream is something we choose to pursue above and beyond the necessities of food, clothing and shelter. Food is for the body. A dream is for the spirit.
When our dreams become difficult, we will be tempted with thoughts such as: What if success never comes? Should I just quit now? Maybe I really don't want this dream. Why not just relax and enjoy each day? Why bother with growth?
This is the point of testing, where we learn to develop responses for each of these thoughts. When we come up with answers that are satisfying to us, then we can be victorious in this time of testing.
We don't have to follow our dreams. We don't have to be of service to others. No one is forcing us. Every day we make a choice. If we are true to the things we believe, then we are still on the journey. We are headed in the right direction.
Be filled with love and generosity. Use your gifts to the fullest. Let what you do align with who you are. Be in awe of the gift of life and the mysteries of the universe.
When success is a long road, and it feels like difficult times will never end, remember this: As long as we keep moving forward, we are closer today than we were yesterday.
Plant seeds along the way.
To your success!
