Tomorrow is Built by Daily Habits
Achieve what you desire. Create good habits.
Yesterday, Today, and Tomorrow
Yesterday was a snow day in Texas. It was glorious. Twelve hours of fluttering snowflakes turned my world into a wonderland. I spent most of the day driving around, playing in the snow, and shooting photos.
Now it's Monday, and I was oh so tempted to send this newsletter out tomorrow. Just because, well, no one would notice. Why would they care? There's still snow outside!
Habits are hard to break. That’s good news for good habits.
So, let’s talk about building good habits that enable you to achieve what you desire.
Building Good Habits
It's no big deal to put off a task or chore for tomorrow. But if we put off the change we desire for ourselves, it is a big deal.
"I'll do it tomorrow" is like a pain killer. You feel better when you say it, but the pain returns again the next day. Then tomorrow you might say, "I'll do it next month." The cycle continues.
This cycle is actually a habit. It's a habit that can last for years, or until something in your life breaks.
Break the habit of putting important things off.
Stop. Take fifteen minutes and do the following:
Write down the most important thing you want to accomplish.
List the benefits of obtaining what you desire.
List how your life will be if you didn't pursue your desire.
Write the most important thing you can do to advance you toward the future you want.
Do the most important thing every day that will advance you toward the future you want.
Do what you can today that moves you in the direction of an ever-improving life. This is the habit you want to build!
Finally
What is the biggest obstacle to living your dreams or simply what you would like to know more about? Just reply to this email and let me know.
There is something more powerful than habits. Once you tap into it, you become unstoppable. I share this (and much more) in my book Live Your Dreams Today. Twenty chapters, each chapter is one page and one idea. No fluff. Just core. Living your dreams is the best kind of success. This book is a great introduction on how to start.
Thank you for reading. I hope I gave you something valuable to think about.
To your success!
