Power Thoughts
A greater awareness and exercise of our power in all areas of our life makes us stronger
Power Thoughts
I've covered the major sources of positive unlimited power in previous posts. But there are many other sources of power we can tap into. Once we are aware, then we see.
Redeem the Past
I have made mistakes. I have had my share of troubles. There are things I wish I would have known when I was younger. I could have avoided some bad decisions and the resulting pain.
We can't change our past, but we can use it for good.
My past has shaped my purpose. To further support my purpose, I keep a list of motives. My motives are my most powerful reasons for my purpose. For example, one of my motives for writing about success is: "I spent too many years listening to the downers rather than encouraging the dreamers." In other words, I focused too much on the critics and the cynics rather than focusing on my dreams. I censored myself, and relinquished my power to them.
We can turn the negative things we have experienced into positive reasons that support our purpose.
We can't change the past, but we can use it as fuel.
The Greatest Power
There are many sources of negative power, and we should reject them all. Jealousy, revenge, resentment are some of the negative motives. These are all feelings that are stirred up by a scarcity mindset. In specific, the scarcity equation is "lose, win." Someone has to lose in order for someone to win. The abundance equation is "I win. You win.”
There is a saying that "Success is the best revenge." But this completely misses the point of success. You can't put a positive spin on revenge.
Love is the greatest power.
Love reminds us to use our power for good.
Getting Stronger
The goal of identifying our unlimited power sources is to bring them into our conscious awareness, and focus and direct that power on actions that move us forward.
Our dreams will be challenging at times. Being fully aware of our power helps us navigate the storms of life. A greater awareness and exercise of our power in all areas of our life makes us stronger. This is a more enlightened version of the simple cliche "what doesn't kill us, makes us stronger."
Finally
We were all born powerful. But life has a way of limiting our power. We might have subconsciously adopted strategies to cope or fit in. Sensitive people can get ignored or run over in life. There is injustice. With all life throws at us, it can be hard to break free from a limited-power mindset. But there is a higher voice that calls us to live an abundant life.
Part of a success mindset is reestablishing the power that life has taken away. Once we realize that we have power it is life changing.
Love is the greatest power. Love is the guide that directs our power for good.
